Thrust roller bearings are used to bear axial loads and radial combined loads, but the radial load shall not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this type of bearing has a lower friction factor, higher speed, and self-aligning performance.
1. Selection and control of thrust roller bearing chamber tolerance: After the thrust roller bearing is pressed into the thrust roller bearing, it should rotate flexibly without any sense of resistance. If there is obvious inflexibility in rotation, it means that the size of the shaft is too large and the tolerance should be lowered. If the thrust roller bearing is pressed into the shaft and there is an obvious "sand" feeling when it is turned by hand, it may be that the tolerance of the shaft is too large or the roundness of the shaft is not good. Therefore, when controlling the tolerance of the shaft and the thrust roller bearing chamber, the roundness must also be controlled. Many domestic manufacturers only control the tolerance, not the roundness.
2. Assembly method of thrust roller bearings: Because thrust roller bearings are high-precision products, improper assembly can easily damage the thrust roller bearing channel, resulting in damage to the thrust roller bearing. Thrust roller bearings should have special molds when assembling, and they cannot be knocked at will. When pressing into the shaft, only the small circle can bear force, and when pressing the large circle, only the large circle can bear force. When assembling, air pressure or hydraulic pressure is required. When pressing, the upper and lower molds should be in a horizontal state. If there is a tilt, the thrust roller bearing groove will be damaged due to force, and the thrust roller bearing will produce a guide sound.
3. Prevention of foreign matter during assembly: When the thrust roller bearing is installed on the rotor for dynamic balancing, it is easy for the iron filings generated during dynamic balancing to enter the thrust roller bearing. Therefore, it is best to perform dynamic balancing before installing the thrust roller bearing. In order to facilitate assembly, some manufacturers apply some oil or grease to the thrust roller bearing chamber for lubrication during assembly, but it is often difficult for operators to control the amount. If there is a lot of oil or grease accumulated in the thrust roller bearing chamber, it is easy to enter the thrust roller bearing along the shaft when the thrust roller bearing rotates. It is best not to apply oil or grease to the thrust roller bearing chamber. If it is necessary to apply oil or grease, it must be controlled so that no oil or grease accumulates in the thrust roller bearing chamber.
4. Prevention of paint rust: The characteristic of paint rust is that it often occurs in sealed motors. The motor sounds good when assembled, but after being stored in the warehouse for some time, the abnormal noise of the motor becomes very loud, and the thrust roller bearing is seriously rusted after being removed. In the past, many manufacturers would think that it was a problem with the thrust roller bearing. After our continuous publicity, the motor factory has realized that it is mainly a problem with the insulating paint. The problem is mainly because the acidic substances volatilized from the insulating paint form corrosive substances under certain temperature and humidity, which corrode the groove of the thrust roller bearing and cause damage to the thrust roller bearing. The only way to solve this problem is to use good insulating paint and assemble it after drying and ventilation for a period of time.
